In 2023, DANGERBAR was named and coined by Macarena Barrera Barraza to put into words ‘what the hell are we doing’ here, a gringo with empty pockets and a bottle of tequila, and a group of semi-pro rollers on a beached boat in Puerto Monte. Like pirates raising a new flag it was born. Then Miles said with a body of work, “I’m in!” and the team became 4 (sometimes 5).

Maca and Javi dangerously and beautifully Roll. Miles makes art, and Pat bartends. That’s the team, and Alex is our hero (our king?) Also, there’s Nacho. He’s always in the ocean.

To mark an occasion — this April the two frontmen (front girls) are set out to make this artwork merchandise store for Miles promote a housing project in southern Chile. the rollerbladers guided Pat to his first job in Chile, in Osorno fixing motorcycles. Nearby Alex found Pat and escaped him from a streetlight to put his hands to work on something useful in construction. The 4-5 politically aligned artists with various talents, Miles, Pat, Maca, and Javi, commit to rebuilding a surfers burned down home, (that’s Nacho!) where they were welcomed to be at home. But it’s Alex (number 5) who has all the skill, experience, and know-how in homebuilding.

Nacho’s sacred place, Twas burnt by a Godzilla looking ass flame in the wind, and if we can raise the funds to have Alex rebuild it? we move onto the next! No shortage of burnt or flooded homes.
My assistant last year, hers burnt too, in san roque Valparaiso Chile. I hope to speak with her in the future about project #2.

This spring, the team wants to show you how they’ve put their lifes work, blood ,sweat ,and tears into trying to make their talents support a higher cause: the funding of Alex’ construction company and our friend Nacho’s new home. Alex, He is the HEAD, the genius, the hard worker who makes the dollars and pesos into materials and homes. Plumbing and electricity for people.

The financial gain of the starving artists who helped the mission will make us something like a non-profit, instead of an all out Jesus charity. Miles, Macarena, Javi, Pat and Alex will all be set up to sell merchandise to their benefit, avoid starving conditions, and after certain costs covered, profits are for materials with which Alex can build the home.
